NATO Secretary General: Belarus is under immense influence from Moscow
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is convinced that Putin controls all major events and levers in neighboring Belarus, and that Belarus is under "immense influence" from Moscow. He said this on July 6 at a press conference preceding the organization's summit in Ankara, Turkey, reports the Ukrainian service of Radio Svoboda.

«We should not be naive about the role Belarus plays. It is under immense influence from Russia and Moscow,» said Mark Rutte in response to a Belarusian journalist's request to explain whether NATO shares Ukraine's concern about the buildup of Russian military presence in Belarus.
«What is happening in Minsk is largely inspired by Putin,» Rutte added.
At the same time, the NATO Secretary General declined to comment on the question of possible Ukrainian drone strikes on communication repeaters in Belarus with the aim of disabling them.
«I cannot tell you everything — yes or no, because part of this information is, of course, classified,» Rutte said.
In addition, he said that arms supplies to Ukraine under the PURL program are continuing, but at this moment there is a shortage of interceptors in NATO countries.
