Iryna Slaunikava will work on the Russian-language project «Vot Tak»
Ex-political prisoner, Belsat journalist Iryna Slaunikava joins the Russian-language team «Vot Tak» and will create her own program for the project, writes «BAJ».

Iryna Slaunikava told Tengiz Adamia, the host of «Vot Tak»'s morning show, about her creative concept: to tell the audience, «primarily Russian-speaking, about Belarus, which for many remains a terra incognita».
«It seems everyone knows everything about it, but they don't know the most important details: that Belarusians are not Russians, that the Belarusian language in Belarus is not at all the Russian language, that we, Belarusians, have a different mentality, our own values, our own peculiarities, — said Iryna Slaunikava. — And I just want to introduce people to Belarus as it really is, and not as it is shown by state TV channels. Because it's not some «vessel of stability». Of course, we are a country of a thousand rivers and lakes, but not everything is so good with us, not everything is so bright, not everything is so wonderful».
Details — the program's name, its time, format, regularity, and other information — Iryna Slaunikava is not yet disclosing.
It is not reported why Slaunikava is not continuing her work on the Belarusian-language «Belsat», for cooperation with which she was convicted.
Iryna Slaunikava and her husband Aliaksandr Loika were detained in October 2021. On August 3, the Homel Regional Court sentenced the journalist to 5 years in a penal colony. On September 11, 2025, Slaunikava was among the 52 released political prisoners.
