More than 20 years in prison for each. A verdict has been delivered in the high-profile case of the Lipski family
On July 6, the Minsk Regional Court delivered a verdict to spouses Uladzimir and Raisa Lipski, who were accused of preparing to murder 52 people.

According to the investigation, the spouses planned reprisals against people whom they considered involved in the criminal case of their son Aliaksandr. To this end, it is alleged, they tracked potential victims, acquired weapons, and prepared to commit crimes.
Let's briefly recall the history of the Lipskis: the family lived in a two-room apartment on Rokossovsky Avenue. They moved to Minsk from Svetlogorsk when their only son Sasha was still in school. At first, they got along well with everyone, but later began to conflict with neighbors and collect information about them.
The key events, after which the Lipskis began to compile their "hit list," occurred at the end of 2018, when Aliaksandr attacked a neighbor from the same entrance, Aliaksei (name changed), and broke his finger. At the time of the conflict, Raisa Lipskaya was present.

A criminal case was initiated against Aliaksandr Lipski based on this incident. The court sentenced him to restricted freedom (4 years of "khimiya" - a colloquial term for restriction of liberty), but he soon went into hiding. His mother also disappeared after him. Lipski's father continued to work and claimed he hadn't seen his son since 2018, and his wife since 2020. As investigators later managed to establish, he also participated in the meticulous planning of the murders.
In November 2021, Aliaksandr Lipski, while on the wanted list, came to the home of Aliaksei's wife's sister — 33-year-old Maryia (name changed) — and shot her dead. At that moment, the woman was going to the kindergarten to pick up her small daughter, and her husband, escaping from the assailant, jumped from a fifth-floor balcony and survived.
By the time the Lipskis were detained in August 2024, Aliaksei's family was forced to change apartments and live in constant tension, fearing for the lives of their loved ones. It turned out not to be in vain: all this time, the Lipskis, as the investigation would discover, were preparing to murder several dozen people. The list included everyone involved in the 2019 court case. According to the investigation, the Lipskis believed that the courts had thus ruined their son's life.
In August 2024, the Lipski family was detained. During the arrest, their son Aliaksandr was fatally wounded. In the apartment where the family was hiding, an arsenal of weapons was found: pistols, cartridges, silencers, homemade grenades, and ammunition. According to the investigation, "to carry out their plans, the Lipski family used conspiracy tactics: wigs, canes, and changing clothes on the street."
In November 2025, the criminal case against spouses Lipski, accused of preparing a series of murders, was sent to court.
The trial lasted more than four months. As a result, the court sentenced Uladzimir Lipski to 24 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony, and Raisa Lipskaya to 22 years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
