SBU attacked Saki airbase in Crimea

Hangars with fighter jets were the target.

The Security Service of Ukraine announced an attack on the Saki military airfield in occupied Crimea.

The main target of the attack was the airfield's infrastructure. The SBU states that five drone hits on hangars for storing aviation equipment have been confirmed.

According to preliminary SBU data, Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets were located in two hangars at the time of the strike. After the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar with the Su-30SM, which, the SBU writes, indicates a successful hit on the military target.

The estimated cost of each such aircraft ranges from 30 to 50 million US dollars, depending on the modification and configuration.

The special service emphasized that the operation was carried out as part of a 40-day campaign to influence the Russian Federation.
