A satellite communication center of the 14th Main Communication Center of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, located in the area of the village of Belaomut, south of Moscow, was damaged in the Moscow region. The Strategic Communications Directorate (StratCom) of the General Staff of the AFU reports that it was struck on June 26.

"This is the most modernized and powerful communication hub of the armed forces of the aggressor state in the central region of the Russian Federation.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the main technical building, large antennas, and a tower with parabolic antennas (some of which were destroyed)," StratCom reported.

Footage published online shows damage to at least one satellite antenna on the roof of the building. However, the complex also contains other antennas and equipment, so isolated damage does not necessarily mean the entire facility is out of order.

Experts who analyzed the video note that it is difficult to determine the extent of the damage from the available materials: it is unclear whether only external elements or also internal communication nodes were affected.

This facility is part of the military satellite communication system, which provides communication for the highest level of military command. It is used for transmitting encrypted communication, including between the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and other central bodies.

This strike is part of a campaign to limit space communication launched by Ukraine in recent weeks. On June 22, the "Dubna" space communication center near Moscow was attacked, and on June 24, "Vladimir" in Gus-Khrustalny. On July 30, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported a new attack on "Dubna": according to Supernova+ data, one serviceman was killed and localization antennas and part of the equipment were damaged.
