Blogger Volha Takarchuk proposes to rename one of Minsk's streets to Mikita Melkaziorau Street.

Volha Takarchuk says that in some episodes of Mikita Melkaziorau, there was a topic about streets in Minsk that need to be renamed. Lander, Sharangovich, Gamarnik, and Dostoevsky with Pushkin were mentioned there.
"I thought: we talk so much about how when we return, we will need to rename streets. It's necessary. We have a lot of our own heroes. We have our own Pushkin – we don't need Alexander, we have Ales Pushkin. We have Vitold Ashurak, Taraikouski, Bandarenka, Maryia Zaitseva, who fought for Ukraine. Excuse me if I don't recall everyone, because we have many heroes. And now we have Mikita Melkaziorau. We definitely need a street named after him," she says.
Takarchuk mentions that Mikita recounted playing football on Gamarnik Street.
"Gamarnik is one of my football addresses. There are two fields with artificial turf where we played with the guys. And if you drive further up, closer to Lahoiski Trakt, near McDonald's on the left, they sold the best, to my taste, shawarma in the city. It's forever in my heart," Mikita recounted.
Takarchuk says that when we return, she will definitely eat this shawarma.
"I'll eat it both for myself and for him. And so, instead of Gamarnik, let it now be Melkaziorau Street," she says.
