Resident of Karelichy District defended rural store «Rodny Kut» via TikTok

A complaint from a resident of Karelichy District on TikTok helped save the «Rodny Kut» store, which served several villages. The story had a positive ending, writes BGmedia.

The store operated in the village of Yaremichy and served the surrounding villages of Karelichy District: Malyya Zhukhavichy, Novaye Syalo, Paharelka, Vyalikaya Arbina, Malaya Arbina, Daughinava, and Sinyawskaya Slabada.

The woman performed several functions at once: from stoker to loader and saleswoman. As a result, she left, and the store temporarily closed.

What happened after the video was published

Local authorities and store management reacted fairly quickly to the resident's complaints. The video on social networks attracted the attention of officials, and the story resonated in the local media.

The head of the rural council, a representative of the economy department of the Karelichy District Executive Committee, employees of RAYPO (District Consumer Society), including the head of Belkoopsoyuz (Belarusian Consumer Cooperatives Union) and a representative of the trade department, attended the meeting. The meeting was convened to discuss the situation with the store's closure and possible ways to resolve it.

Separately, the topic of mobile stores was discussed, which the management named as one of the solutions to the problem. Tatsiana disagreed with this approach. She noted that mobile stores cannot replace a stationary store, as their assortment shrinks from point to point.

Was the problem resolved?

Store employees were promised that technical problems would be resolved – including with an incorrectly installed air conditioner that blew warm air into the ceiling.

According to her, the store was clean and tidy, customers were served by a polite girl who was assisted by a more experienced employee. There were no expired goods, which the woman had noticed previously, this time.
