Books by Orlov and Vezhnavets made it onto the longlist of the Polish literary award Angelus

14 books have been included in the longlist for the Central European Literary Award "Angelus," which has been presented since 2006 for the best prose book published in Polish.

Among the authors vying for victory this year are Belarusians: Eva Vezhnavets and Uladzimir Arlov, bellit.info writes.

"An absolutely stellar lineup with a Nobel laureate and several — I'm firmly convinced — future Nobel laureates! It's delightful that among this year's outstanding writers are the beloved Eva Vezhnavets and Uladzimir Arlov! Good luck to all contenders!" — commented on Facebook by poet and translator Andrei Khadanovich, who chairs the jury of the prestigious Polish award this year.

The jury noted Eva Vezhnavets' novella "What are you going for, wolf?" translated by Małgorzata Buchalik, and Uladzimir Arlov's book "Dances over the City." We invite you to review the full list:
