A former serviceman, he wrote in Belarusian and Russian, was a member of the Mogilev historical-patriotic search club and the Russian cultural and educational society.

Poet Alyaksandr Kazeka has died. He was 67 years old.
The writer was born on August 4, 1958, in the village of Novy Yuzin, Kirovsky district, into a forester's family. He studied at Chechevitskaya rural school, then entered the Orel Higher Military Communications School. He served in Orel, Vladivostok, Bryansk, and Mogilev.
After retiring from military service, he worked as a teacher in the village of Chechevichi, then in the Mogilev Regional Philharmonic. After the closure of the philharmonic, he worked as deputy head of the Mogilev Regional Center for Culture and Arts.
Kazeka was a member of the pro-government Union of Writers of Belarus, heading its Mogilev regional branch. He was also a member of the public association "Russian Cultural and Educational Society" and the Mogilev Regional Historical and Patriotic Search Club "Vikkru".
He wrote in both Belarusian and Russian. His books of poetry include "Души моей родник" (The Spring of My Soul) (2005), "Мелодия надежды" (Melody of Hope) (2008), "Час сяўбы" (Time of Sowing) (2009), and others.
Kazeka received several state awards — medals "For Impeccable Service" of the III and II degrees, and the Francysk Skaryna Medal.
