According to analytical company EA Analytics, in July, the volume of oil refining at Russian oil refineries decreased to its lowest level since 2005. In the first weeks of the month, enterprises processed about 3.91 million barrels of oil per day, which is less than in previous months, and significantly lower than the indicators at the beginning of the year, Bloomberg writes .

Compared to July last year, refining volumes decreased by approximately a quarter, and compared to 2021, by almost a third.
Over the past hundred days, Ukrainian drones have attacked Russian oil refineries about fifty times. At least 24 out of 34 of the largest enterprises, including plants in the central part of Russia and beyond the Urals, were hit. Among them is the Omsk refinery, located several thousand kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Energy Intelligence analysts estimate current refining volumes even lower — at about 3.58 million barrels per day, which could be the lowest figure since at least 2002. According to their estimates, production capacities capable of refining about 3.1 million barrels of oil per day are currently not operating, and it is unknown when they will be restored.
In addition to the Omsk oil refinery, the Taneco plant in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, which is also one of the largest in Russia, has ceased operations. According to Energy Intelligence estimates, the country's deficit of petroleum products is currently between 400 and 600 thousand tons per month. Supplies from Belarus and Kazakhstan can only cover part of this shortage.
According to Kpler company data, tankers with gasoline from India are already heading to Russia. Small supplies of gasoline from China, delivered by road tankers to the Far Eastern regions, are also reported.
