Birds have occupied one of the residential areas.
Gulls are a long-standing problem for some residents of high-rise buildings in Grodno. These birds chose the roofs of houses as a convenient place for nests several years ago. It would be fine: there are many other species in the city that coexist with humans. But gulls are distinguished by very loud and piercing cries, writes Newgrodno.by.
"Might as well sell the apartment. Neither in the evening nor at night is it possible to open the window. You literally go deaf from the screams. Of course, there's no talk of a peaceful sleep," one of the residents shared.
And such a picture, if they stay here, will last until the end of the warm season, the reader is confident.
Why can't the birds simply be driven away?
It should be noted that in Belarus, a ban on destroying bird nests has been in effect since February 16.
Violators face serious fines:
- for ordinary people — up to 30 base values,
- for individual entrepreneurs — from 10 to 100,
- for companies — from 20 to 500 BV.
So, if gulls have already "settled" on the roofs of high-rise buildings, evicting them by legal means will be problematic.
Is a solution possible?
One possible solution is to launch a kite in the shape of a bird of prey. They work without human intervention: a light wind is enough for flight. However, the question of how effective such tricks are remains open.
