"Coffee with a Historian" invites to a round table on memory and archives
On June 14 at 3:00 PM, a round table "Memory and Archives: Then and Now" will take place at the Museum of Free Belarus in Warsaw (Foksal 11).

Sergei Rybchonak, Uladzimir Lobach, and Aliaksei Lastouski will take part in the meeting. The discussion will focus on how information about the past was recorded, transmitted, and used in traditional society and today.
You will learn:
- what is the difference between memory and history;
- about legendary and real historical facts about the origins of the Radziwill, Hliebovich, Mickiewicz, and other families of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania;
- how historical memory functions in a rural community: an anthropological perspective of narratives about war and occupation;
- what constitutes and how contemporary scientific study of historical memory and memory politics in Belarus work.
