Belarusian manufacturers often release new products and experiment with different flavors. Sometimes the combinations turn out very unusual and look more like food generated by ChatGPT. Onliner collected 10 products that can actually be found on store shelves.

Coffee Cheese

No, this is not an attempt to have a quick breakfast, but a completely real product produced in Karelichy under the brand "Navahrudskiya Dary". The round cheese head is not very large — from 600 grams to a kilogram, sprinkled with ground coffee on the outside. The coffee aroma, by the way, comes through the individual packaging of slices on the counter. The fat content is quite standard for cheese — 50%.

Samegrelo, by the way, is not a type of cheese, but a region of Georgia. It is also called Megrelia, and suluguni cheese comes from there. As the company explained, the halves differ in color because a food coloring is added to one of them — all for aesthetics, they taste the same.

Price — about 34 rubles per kilogram.

For "Navahrudskiya Dary", this is not the only creative cheese in their portfolio. These red and green bars with pesto are also "countrymen" of the coffee cheese. The manufacturer's website also features "Selehin" (Selegin) with speckles in two variants: with black olives or green olives. However, journalists did not find them in several Minsk stores.

Sausage with charcoal

A variant for those who want to draw increased attention from guests to their meat platter. The slices look marbled, and the fact that the dark lines of the pattern are charcoal adds even more piquancy to the sausage's appearance. The sausage is called Rotolo Di Lusso and is produced in Maladzyechna, at the "Veles-Meat" enterprise. The factory, by the way, is also known for making cutlets for Mak.by hamburgers.

The marbled sausage is made from pork, it is boiled-smoked, and indeed contains charcoal: it hides under the designation E153 — this is how a natural black food coloring made from wood is called in the language of additives.

Price — about 28 rubles per kilogram.

Pink Mayonnaise

This product stands out brightly on the shelf with dressings: it allowed itself to be pink and immediately mimicked the color of herring under a fur coat, cold soup (khaladnik), and borscht with sour cream, which are dear to the Belarusian heart.

Barbie-style mayonnaise was invented at the Minsk Margarine Plant and went on sale at the end of January this year. The package contains 300 grams of product with 50% fat content. The manufacturer states that it did without artificial flavors and colorings, and gave the mayonnaise its pink color using beet juice.

A jar of such mayonnaise costs about 3.4-4.5 rubles.

Cheese Balls

Dry cheese, which in structure resembles porous chocolate, is produced in Pastavy. This is a line of snacks in the form of balls, all flavors are unsweetened: "Grilled Shrimp", "Thai Chili", "With Smoked Paprika", "With Onion", "With Smoke Flavor". There are also "Classic" and "With Garlic". The manufacturer states that it makes the balls without additional fats by drying the cheese. Each package contains 75 grams of product with 43% fat content.

Price — about 5 rubles.

Cheese Chips

Another creative product from "Navahrudskiya Dary" — cheese chips. The package contains 50 grams of product that requires refrigeration. In stores, these chips are hidden in the cheese section; the classic flavor is more common in Minsk, although the manufacturer's website also lists another: with porcini mushrooms. Converted per kilogram, the price bites: almost 160 rubles.

Price — approximately 8 rubles per pack.

Dranik Ice Cream (Potato Pancake Ice Cream)

The combination of fried potatoes and vanilla ice cream is unusual, but it has its fans. Minsk Kladokombinat No. 2 released its version of this treat in the spring. It looks like ordinary plombir (vanilla ice cream) in a waffle cone, but the cone itself is inspired by draniki (potato pancakes). It is baked from flour, onion powder, dry potato puree, and pasta grits.
